I like this little guide to Japanese emoticons. Despite the fact that we don’t use typewriters anymore, we are still wedded to the limited number of keys that the device gave us. I mean, now the Internet gives us UNLIMITED keys, but I guess limitation breeds creativity. How else to explain so many ways to use punctuation to create emotions!

We’ve finally figured a way of communicating ourselves using writing without actually having to use words! Screw you, words! Or, should I say askjhkjhop32r91u34ruou!!!!!!
