Ryan Farrell just sent me this link to a project called Before I Die. I’d read about it at @photojojo. Basically, people take a Polaroid of themselves and then write what they want to do before they die.  I’m honestly not so into it. I don’t know why. It’s kind of an elitist project because it’s so hard—and expensive—to get Polaroid film these days. More than that, I just dont like all the death talk. And it’s rather reductive to ask someone for ONE THING they want to do before they die. Before I die, I hope to do several million things. Like brush my teeth a few thousand times. Put on my shoes and take them off and put them on. Eat apple pie. Lot of things on that list. Which is why I am not going to make that list—nor will I narrow it all down to just one thing! Dammit!

But Ryan convinced me to post this by saying: “It’s not depressing. It’s using dead technology to spite death. Like when the Goonies find dead one-eyed-willie they’re like ‘whoah freakout’ but then mikey(?)’s all ‘nah, i consider this an affirmation.’”

Guess I’m just a sucker for a Goonies reference.
